St Mary in the Marsh Project Fund is a community charity with a mission!
Our Story
More than two decades ago, "The Hut," a cherished local community hall, sadly fell into disrepair, leaving the village and its residents without a communal gathering space. In response, the Project Fund was established to raise awareness and funds for the reconstruction of a new community village hall. This initiative aims to provide a venue where residents spanning five generations can socialize, access essential services, and host private functions. With the nearest convenience store located three miles away and limited public transportation serving the village, the need for this facility extends beyond mere convenience—it serves as a vital lifeline for certain members of the community.
We have officially starting the build!

There has been significant work completed with the build and the hall is really taking shape! We cannot make any of this happen without the continued support from our community.

Romney Marsh Morris were kind enough to support St Mary in the Marsh Project Fund this year and presented Carrie-Ann, Mark, Helen and Jade with a cheque for £500 at their rehearsal this month.
A huge thank you for their dedication to all charities and choosing SMITMPF this year. We can't wait to have you dancing in the hall when it is built!

The build is going well following the foundations being laid we are starting to see the shape of the new village hall!
The dedication of the building team has been incredible but many hands make light work, so if you want to support please get in touch!
